Ocean Park Motel

The Ocean Park is a family style motel with a unique home like atmosphere and garden setting. Located just two blocks from the Ocean Beach and one block from the San Francisco Zoo, the motel features an outdoor hot tub, garden play area for kids and a number of fully equipped kitchens. Established in 1937.
The Ocean Park opened for business on April 20, 1937 just one month before the Golden Gate Bridge was dedicated, inaugurating the era of the west coast driving vacation. A graceful Art Deco beauty in the “Streamlined Moderne” style with a nautical theme inspired by the great cruise ships of the 1930’s, the motel features portholes, curved rooflines and porches and original wood windows opening onto fresh sea air. Late at night the garden courtyard echoes to the sound of crashing waves and foghorns. Even after seventy three years, the Ocean Park has an authentic character that still appeals to fourth generation guests.
